Although I normally post package prices (and $540 is a good one), I thought I’d take this as an opportunity to share how the airline system works, and how important it is to grab these fares when a trip looks right for you.
This is an example of a glitch in the airlines’ algorithm, and it won’t last long. Notice the isolated dates in this screenshot and how there are no other dates that are anywhere near that price. That’s likely because aeromexico’s computers decided there weren’t enough seats sold for this flight at this point in time and they dropped fares to sell a few more seats. (This is probably due to the fact that it’s a Tuesday and they probably released a batch of seats that had been on hold.)
My guess is that the fare (and the corresponding package price) will be gone as soon as they sell 2 or 4 seats.
If you want to book this fare and it appears to be gone from your mobile phone, be sure to check from your computer. Also try from multiple browsers. You’d be amazed at the amount of games the travel sites play to get the best price possible out of you.
