– Jan-Mar LGA > London, United Kingdom: Flight & 4 nights: $576

It’s been a while since I’ve been to London, but I’ll never forget it. We did the touristy thing and took double-decker bus tours, toured London Tower, tried to make the guards laugh, and my favorite – Seeing “Phantom of the Opera” in Her Majesty’s Theater.

If you want to see a lot of Europe, a great way is to grab a cheap flight to London, and take the Chunnel across to Paris. Tickets are unbelievably affordable, and once you get to Paris, you can fly or take a train anywhere you like. Knock out several European countries for another few hundred bucks, and figure out where you want to go back and spend more time. (Everyone is different, and most people are very surprised at the beauty of so many other European countries vs just London & France.

Tight on time but want to cover a lot of ground? Get a “cuchette” train ticket and get a very comfortable sleep between countries.

* There only appear to be a few seats at this price and availability is spotty. It will take a little digging to find dates other than the dates I found, but at this price, it’s well worth digging for.
