BUT… You have to plan ahead
Every week, I get more than a dozen requests for help from people who think I’m a travel agent who can help them. Unfortunately, I’m not a travel agent, and it’s almost always too late for me to be able to help them. They end up either not going, or paying far more than they wanted to pay for their trip.
Sadly, if they learned “The JGOOT Way” just a few months earlier, they would have had the tools to take the exact trip they were asking about for 50% to 99% less than prices they were finding. (or what any travel agent could ever help them find.)[/text_block]

Who are we and why do we do this?
I’m Joel McDonald & this is my wife Michelle. (Our friends call us “Jochelle”)
I started “The JGOOT Way” of travel in 2015 when I stumbled across $192 mistake fares to Aruba.
We parlayed that into a 6-night stay at a 4-star resort for $552 each. Most people would pay $2500 to $3000 to fly to Aruba and stay 6 nights at the Renaissance, but by flying on a heavily discounted airfare, and getting a huge discount on the hotel by bundling it with our flight – we went for $1104 total.
Since then, we started finding so many trips – we HAD to share them with friends/family from various places around the country, and JGOOT was born.
A few friends joined us for “friendcations” in Turks and Caicos, we’ve flown to visit countless friends around the country, and we’ve let friends around know about cheap fares to visit us here in Colorado. (All thanks to the amazingly cheap fares we find.)
How cheap? Just a few of the places we’ve visited include: $192 to Aruba, $110 to Cabo, $96 to Turks & Caicos, $29 to Indianapolis, $39 to Los Angeles, $11 to Ohio to visit family, and my all-time favorite – $22 to Kauai.
Fair Warning:
Mistake fares are NOT trips you plan for. They are trips that are so good, you plan ahead and plan AROUND them to take advantage of the low rates.
If you’re looking to go to a very specific specific place at a very specific time, mistake fares have very slim odds of helping you. (We have another solution for that.)
BUT – if you can can plan 3 to 9 months ahead to take advantage of a deal as much as 90% less than what you would have expected to pay – mistake fares can be the most affordable way you’ve ever traveled (even better than using frequent flyer points.)
