I subscribe to several premium flight alert services and am proud to say that I usually beat them to finding these fares.

But I gotta give credit where credit is due…

Scott’s Cheap Trips’ alerted me to this fare and I’m passing the info along to you.

He said they are in the $300’s from Denver, and although I saw those fares initially, when clicking through to verify, the best I found was $531.

Here are the dates I found them on Google Flights, (Early March) but if you play with Google’s “flexible dates”, you can find those fares at other times too. (Maybe even those elusive $300-something fares too.  (No promises on how long they’ll last. This is the lowest I’ve ever seen flights to NZ.)

If you find better fares, or drastically different dates, please help out by commenting below.

Good luck!

  1. Hmm…so I found $335 on Google Flights (into Queenstown), but when I try actually to book, it shoots way up. I’m usually pretty savvy with Google Flights, so not sure what’s going on.

        1. Have you seen this before, Joel, where the initial fare quote on Google shows one thing, but the fare goes up significantly when you try to book? I’ve never encountered that before.

    1. It shoots up for me too. Not working. When I check ITA for the same dates it has the expensive date at the end of the google flights transaction

    1. Sorry for the frustration. Unfortunately, the better the mistake fares (which this one is great), the more quickly they sell out. Have a credit card ready and book as soon as you find a fare that sticks is about your only choice.
